SOL - Day 21- Rain Rain Go Away

This rain is making me feel so blah and unproductive! I'm ready for sunshine, picnics, swimming, and watermelon! Not being able to be outside gives me the perfect excuse to do all the tasks on my plate including writing a grant and revamping my resume but instead I feel even less compelled! I'm sure I'll wait until Sunday night and then stay up late but honestly under pressure is when I get some of my best work done! Now if I could just stop worrying about it in the meantime!

  1. We had sunshine here today; so maybe it is making its way in your direction! I work best under pressure, too; but the thought that the work is ahead of me instead of behind me always keeps me a little on edge. I hope tomorrow is sunny for you.

  3. Sometimes you just need to give in to lazy days! At least you will feel well rested!

  5. I took a chance on a few slices of watermelon today! It was amazing! I'm afraid green grass is a ways away.

  6. There is a fantastic short story by Ray Bradbury titled "All Summer In A Day" that tells a story of how it rains every single day for 7 years. The sun only comes out for one day, for 1 hour. Each time it rains here I think, it could always be like the Bradbury story. :-) Hang in there!

  8. It is too bad that your "to do's" are on your mind - I say bask with a cup of tea and a good book and enjoy the rain!
